This presentation will explore the unique privacy and governance challenges of deploying AI for and with Indigenous communities, and will focus on the practical application of OCAP® (Ownership, Control, Access, and Possession) principles in AI systems. It will provide lawyers with a crucial understanding of how Indigenous data sovereignty intersects with, and extends beyond, traditional Canadian privacy legislation.


This program qualifies for 1.0 CPD hours under the Law Society of Saskatchewan Continuing Professional Development Policy.
