In their presentation, The Honourable Justice Sinclair and Local Registrar Nikki Watier will discuss costs in civil proceedings. The presentation will address, among other things:
(1) the process of taxing costs by the Local Registrar;
(2) what can be done by the Local Registrar as opposed to a justice; and
(3) the considerations for justices in determining costs, including solicitor-client costs.
The presenters will deal with procedure and legal considerations on awarding and quantifying costs awards
