Synopsis
Claudio Aguilera, Trish Pantell, Desiree Thomas and Frank Dubenski will lead a presentation introducing new services offered at the Tillicum Lelum Aboriginal Friendship Center.

The speakers will discuss the transformative justice initiative currently underway that will fast-track criminal court referrals for needs assessment and support agency referrals for Indigenous clients who wish to access these resources in the early stages of criminal proceeedings. A guilty plea or finding of guilt is not required to access these resources, which will be available in the planning of diversion requests, restorative justice approaches and Gladue case management.

This presentation will be of interest to defence lawyers, prosecutors, Community Corrections personnel and Restorative Justice program facilitators.
