Provincial Court Family Rules - An Update

Join us as Nancy Carter, Executive Director of Family Policy, Legislation and Transformation from the Ministry of Attorney General provides an update on the consultation paper posted by the Ministry of Attorney General and the Provincial Court of BC. The Honourable Judge Rose Raven of the Provincial Court of British Columbia will also join us for the Q&A session at the end of the presentation.

Kerry Simmons, Executive Director, Canadian Bar Association of BC, will start with highlights on the CBA's role in the submission of the Provincial Court Family Rules.

The public consultation is open until December 16, 2019 and materials (consultation paper, draft rules and draft forms) may be found here:

The proposed new model focuses on helping families identify and receive early information and support for their legal and non-legal needs related to child and spousal support, parenting arrangements, guardianship and contact.
