"I am not afraid of death, it's the dying that scares me." - Unknown

Imagine your last hours on earth spent lying on a gurney in the hallway of an emergency department of some hospital, watching people walking back and forth, oblivious to you. Who gets to decide how much pain-killing medicine a person might need? Who makes the decisions as to their day-to-day care? What happens if a person develops Alzheimer's and can no longer make their own decisions? Are there any doctors specializing in the treatment of the dying?

We, lawyers are trained in the importance of preparation and our speaker can answer any questions you may have about palliative care.

The Senior Lawyers Section invites you to bring anyone you feel could benefit from this presentation. What they learn will make it easier for them to carry out directions in a palliative care situation.
