Synopsis

This month, we are exploring technology and unbundling with passionate ‘disrupters’ in the legal marketplace:

Jodie Stark of Stark Solutions Legal Coaching & Consulting will speak about how she uses technology to streamline and enhance her practice. Jodie launched the first virtual legal practice that offers only legal coaching and consulting for self-represented litigants. She has been a strong advocate for access to justice, working on a national policy committee for the federal government to amend laws for victims of domestic violence.  She has also acted as arbitrator for the BC government for landlord/tenant online disputes.

We’ll also take a deeper dive into one new technology, Qase Inc., a web platform which helps people find and work with lawyers online to address their everyday legal problems. Jaclyn Megens and Dan Zollman from Qase will delve into why Qase was created, explain how it works, and explore its use for the delivery of unbundled legal services. Qase recently launched in BC this past spring, and is now recruiting lawyers into the platform and working closely with a range of community groups focusing on access to justice.
