Many of us know the benefits of mediation. Chief amongst them are the ability to resolve matters inexpensively, amicably, and privately. However, not all mediations go smoothly. Mediations can be charged and fraught with practical, strategic, interpersonal, and ethical issues.

This event is designed for young lawyers with any level of mediation experience.  If you want to handle mediations more effectively and confidently, then this presentation is for you.  Participants will come away with concrete strategies to add to their toolkits as they navigate the rocky waters of mediation.

Our speaker, Jess Hadley, is a practicing lawyer who was called to the bar in 2004.  She has been mediating since 2015. She brings a unique perspective as a younger woman practicing in a field dominated by senior men.  Jess is also a great resource for young lawyers interested in developing a practice as a mediator.

Charest Reporting has generously offered to host the Young Lawyers section, free of charge. There will be light snacks.
