Synopsis

As an ally and advocate of the legal profession, it is our duty as lawyers to observe the rule of law in Canada. This engaging session will enhance lawyers’ understanding of systemic racism to build a stronger focus on equity, diversity, and racial identity within the legal profession.

Learn about tools  available to break those systems, how to become a disrupter that promotes equity, and how to apply the knowledge, skills, and attitude in your workplace through interactions with colleagues and clients.

Polling questions and scenarios will prepare you to:

  • Identify the impact of systemic racism, or unintended bias as it exists within the legal profession.
  • Learn what tools are available to break those systems and how to become disrupters that promote equity.
  • Apply the knowledge, skills, and attitude in your workplace through interactions with colleagues and clients.

We would like to hear from you about situations you have either found yourself a part of, or have witnessed in the workplace involving racial injustice. The facilitator will be exploring scenarios during the webinar session.
