What Employment Lawyers Need to Know About IP Law
This meeting is being hosted by the Employment Law Section.

Jennifer Marles and Alexander Buonassisi of Oyen Wiggs Green & Mutala LLP will be speaking on the topic “What Employment Lawyers Need to Know About IP Law.” Their presentation will cover a broad range of IP issues relevant to employment lawyers, including:

  • IP 101 – a refresher on the distinctions between trademarks, copyright, patents, and industrial designs;
  • Ownership of IP in the employment relationship;
  • Protecting IP in the employment relationship;
  • Common blunders and oversights in the IP terms of employment contracts;
  • Brief introduction to some international considerations; and
  • Recent developments in IP law.
