Bill C-78 introduces important new provisions regarding disclosure and confidentiality under amendments to the Family Orders and Agreements Enforcement Assistance Act. As well, Bill C-78 also takes steps for federal implementation and streamlining of interjurisdictional procedures, including under the 1996 Hague Child Protection Convention and the 2007 Hague Child Support Convention. Bill C-78 also has new jurisdictional rules in parenting cases. These changes will present challenges for family law practitioners. Take this webinar to bring stability to your family law practice.

About Stuart Rennie
For the last 22 years, Stuart has been the Legislation and Law Reform Officer for the CBA British Columbia Branch. He is also a lawyer in private practice and a records management consultant.  In addition to his law degree, Stuart has a Masters degree in Library and Information Science from UBC.

He has helped develop The Sedona Canada Principles Addressing Electronic Discovery in Civil Litigation. And is also co-author of the standard records management manual for the Local Government Management Association of British Columbia. Stuart is an adjunct professor at UBC. We are pleased to have him with our CBABC Professional Development Program.
