Excluded Property under the Family Law Act – Updates to Case Law and Trends 
This meeting is being hosted by the Family Law - Vancouver Island Section.

Synopsis

This talk will provide a summary of the case law regarding the following topics in British Columbia:

1)      Excluded property and the impact of excluded property being put into joint names – case law updates;

2)      Updates regarding the presumption of advancement and how it is being treated.

This talk will review the case law since July 2019.  If you would like to review the case law before that point please see “Excluded Property: A More Predictable Regime” by Scott L. Booth and Beatrice C. McCutcheon, CLEBC – July 4, 2019.
