ONLINE MEETING: Coverage Questions Arising from COVID-19

Join us for a talk about the types of coverage questions that have arisen for Canadian policyholders in response to COVID-19. This will include a review of instructive cases from other countries and a discussion about what issues we may see next.

Speaker Bios

Mike Libby:

Michael Libby is the managing partner at Dolden Wallace Folick LLP. Mike has extensive experience as a litigator, including in addressing complex coverage issues. Mike is the co-chair of Dolden’s national coverage group and regularly advises insurers on complex coverage issues arising under all types of insurance policies.

Michael has been recognized by Lexpert as one of Canada’s Leading Practitioners in the area of commercial insurance, and is a regular guest instructor for the litigation component of B.C.’s Professional Legal Training Course.

Justine Forsyth:

Justine Forsyth was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2007, and is currently a senior associate at Whitelaw Twining. Justine is the chair of the Coverage group at Whitelaw Twining and has significant experience advising on, and litigating, complex coverage issues. She is a frequent speaker on the topic, including recently moderating the Canadian Lawyer’s national panel – Insurance Litigation and Disputes – A Look at the COVID-19 Fallout.
