Synopsis

David Paradiso, Deputy Ombudsperson for the Province of British Columbia, and Susan Hynes, Chief Review Officer with WorkSafeBC, share an insider's perspective on administrative decisions and the decision-making process. Topics explored at this session will include bias in decision-making; the role of legislation and policy documents in rendering decisions; evidence; deliberations; and the importance of providing written reasons.
