By now most in-house counsel have either been approached by their clients with questions on whether they can implement a cloud computing solution, or they have been told after the fact that one is being installed.  Cloud Computing raises a whole host of issues that must be addressed such as data management, employee behaviour / work practices, vendor agreements and Homeland security to name a few.

This session will provide a review and summary of the current state of the legislation surrounding the option and will then focus on best practices and risk management measures that can be taken.  Legal Suite, a technology solution provider, and a legal department will use their recent journey into cloud computing to demonstrate the processes, communications, benefits and risks that should go into the decision to use cloud solutions in your organization.
