In the legal profession, there remains a lack of awareness, and sometimes bias, regarding mental health problems. Keeping in mind the high pressures, demands and expectations that legal professionals face, this session will assist participants in enhancing their understanding of the personal and environmental factors that can have an impact on mental health. The session will focus on decreasing stigma by examining its impact with participants deepening their understanding of the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and gaining strategies for supporting their colleagues and mental health in the workplace.

SPEAKER: Stefano Maiorana

Stefano Maiorana holds undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Social Work, Human & Environment Relations, Anthropology and Theatre. His extensive and varied educational and work experience has enabled him to develop an acute understanding of human behavior and have made him an excellent communicator.

His expertise in stress management, one on one corporate coaching, pre-retirement planning, anxiety reduction, crisis intervention, achieving work-life balance, positive parenting and conflict resolution
has allowed him to work closely with major corporations, health and educational institutions amongst both individuals and organizations.
