Changes to the Building Canada Act: Impacts & Implications

The Environmental, Energy & Resources Law Section and Administrative Law Section are looking forward to this discussion on changes to the Building Canada Act with Tina Northrup from East Coast Environmental Law! Recent federal and provincial changes have been made to the Building Canada Act and its approach to accelerating federal assessment and authorization of projects designated as projects in the national interest, coupled with evolving practices in Atlantic Canada as premiers vie to have projects listed. This presentation will review the impact of recent changes and will explore environmental regulation and administrative law angles of the Act.
