OBA Constitutional, Civil Liberties and Human Rights Law & Criminal Justice PROGRAM
Recent events in Canada and the United States have brought longstanding issues at the intersection of race and policing to the fore. Numerous studies and reports, including the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s new interim report A Disparate Impact, have found that Black and Indigenous people are disproportionately represented in the criminal justice system. Join us to unravel the issues as they unfold in the criminal, civil and human rights spheres. Through this three-part series, you will gather practical advice and insights to help you navigate these issues with confidence.
