OBA Parent and Caregiver Network | 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM (ET)
From wellness offerings to child care services to creating opportunities to build our community, the OBA is committed to serving the whole lawyer from their desk to their doorstep.
This year has had a significant impact on how we fulfill our roles as both lawyers and parents balancing the unique challenges of working from home and managing your familial responsibilities. Join us for this interactive and informative program where you can connect with other colleagues facing the same challenges.
Our session will begin with an interactive discussion with Registered Psychotherapist (and former lawyer), Kara Hardin and lawyer and life coach Paul Karvanis, who will cover salient topics such as:
- Normalizing, explaining and evaluating ways to address parental burnout;
- Perfectionism and comparison in the contexts of being a lawyer and being a parent;
- Productivity and time management.
Following the plenary, participants will break out into smaller groups to engage in guided discussions and sharing strategies around parenting while maintaining a law practice.
This session is brought to you by the OBA’s Parent and Caregiver Network, in collaboration with the Taxation Law section.
If there are topics you would like to discuss and/or questions you would like addressed at the session, please send them to dbrewster@oba.org no later than December 9, 2020.
