OBA Education Law PROGRAM | 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM (ET)
Racism and systemic discrimination are issues entrenched in Ontario’s education system. Join us for this second annual program to examine the impact of anti-black and anti-Indigenous oppression in education at the secondary and post-secondary level. Hear about the pressing legal issues for your clients, including the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on black and Indigenous communities, intersection of race and student discipline, as well as lessons learned through relevant case law. Our expert panel will delve into these key legal issues as lawyers, parents and community members and share valuable advice on the legal framework within which to challenge and dismantle racism and systemic oppression in education.
