OBA Child & Youth Law & Education Law PROGRAM | 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM (ET)
This program is also part of a five-part series - Ethical and Practical Considerations When Working With and For Young People
While children are not always parties to a proceeding, children are able to participate in legal proceedings in a variety of ways. Their interests are often an important consideration, if not the prime consideration in legal matters, and their participation can have a significant impact on the outcome of legal matters even as non-parties.
Join us as our panel of experts discuss the roles lawyers play in supporting children and youth’s participation in a proceeding. Hear about strategies and legal mechanisms that lawyers use to help children and youth participate in legal proceedings and other lawyers’ ethical responsibilities when children are involved in a proceeding.
