Description :
An exclusive interview with Kathleen Roussel, Director of Public Prosecutions of Canada, the first woman in the role. She will speak candidly about the systemic racism and discrimination found within the criminal justice system. She will share her thoughts on how these issues impact all stages of the criminal justice process, discuss the role of prosecutors within the process, and highlight how they can effect change.  She will also share how she plans to tackle systemic racism and discrimination within her own organization.

The Canadian Bar Association - Quebec Branche uses Zoom webinar. You will be able to participate in this conference with your laptop, tablet or smartphone. Following your registration, you will receive all the necessary information to familiarize yourself with this platform.
 
PD accreditation :
Please note that, as part of the mandatory continuing education required by the Barreau du Québec and the Chambre des notaires du Québec, the participant chooses the training activities that are related to their practice. A certificate of attendance will be issued to you, but recognition by the provider is no longer required. It is up to the participant to declare his PD hours; the Barreau du Québec and the Chambre des notaires du Québec reserve the right to withdraw a training activity from the participant's file if it does not meet the objectives of their respective regulations. FEES ARE PAYABLE UPON REGISTRATION. No participant will be able to access the training without having paid all fees.
The deadline for cancellation without charge is September 29, 2020. After this date, all cancellations will be billed. If you complete your registration after the no-fee cancellation deadline, no cancellations will be possible, only replacements will be accepted. If you need to be replaced, please notify us as soon as possible by calling 514 393-9600. Fees are applicable for a non-member replacing a member.
