Mandatory Early Dispute Resolution in Regina

The Queen’s Bench Act,1998 has been amended to require certain family law applicants to participate in family dispute resolution at the close of pleadings, if they have not already done so before initiating the court application.  Family dispute resolution includes the services of a recognized family mediator, family arbitrator, collaborative law lawyer, or parenting coordinator.  Since January 2020, this requirement has been piloted in the Prince Albert judicial center.  This requirement will be expanded to the judicial centre of Regina in 2021.

Please join us at this webinar to learn more about these changes, including updates on the pilot, understanding the new requirements (for both clients and service providers), learning how to become recognized to provide family dispute resolution services, and much more.
