Tony is a Partner and Co-Leader of Fasken's Antitrust/Competition & Marketing Group. As former counsel to Canada's Commissioner of Competition (Department of Justice Canada) and having served as counsel in many of Canada's most significant competition matters, Tony is widely recognized as one of Canada's leading practitioners in competition law and litigation. Tony represents and counsels clients in domestic and multi-jurisdictional competition matters, including mergers, criminal cartel matters, advertising and marketing practices, abuse of dominance and other reviewable practices. Tony represents parties in criminal and civil investigations, litigated proceedings before Canada's Competition Tribunal and class action litigation. Tony has extensive trial and appellate experience, having appeared as counsel before Canada's Competition Tribunal, all levels of court in Ontario, the Federal Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Tony is active in the Leadership of the American Bar Association's Antitrust Section and the Canadian Bar Association's National Competition Law Section. Tony is the author of the leading legal treatise, Competition Enforcement and Litigation in Canada (Emond Publishing). Tony is an adjunct law professor of law at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, where he teaches competition law and trial advocacy and a non-governmental adviser to the International Competition Network.

Deepshikha Dutt

Deepshikha Dutt is a commercial and civil litigator in Dentons’ Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. Her practice focuses on professional liability, class actions and insurance-related matters primarily dealing with directors and officers (D&O), and errors and omissions (E&O) liability. Deepshikha represents individuals and companies in a variety of commercial and insurance related disputes, including shareholder disputes, oppression claims, securities litigation involving secondary market misrepresentations, and negligent misrepresentations in offering statements and private placements. In a recent Superior Court decision, Deepshikha was part of the successful team representing the D&Os of a financial institution in an eight-week trial involving issues of fraud, negligence and negligent misrepresentation in an offering statement. Deepshikha has experience on advising clients on various coverage matters, which include matters relating to CGL coverage, environmental coverage, D&O coverage, and priority issues involving multi-jurisdictional and multi-entity insurance policies. Deepshikha has appeared before all levels of court and administrative tribunals, including the Ontario Racing Commission, Ministry of Environment and the Ontario Securities Commission, in matters involving issues of professional negligence, product liability, fire loss real estate, copyrights, financial schemes, environmental issues and complex class actions brought under the Class Action legislation. To complement her robust litigation practice, Deepshikha has an active alternate dispute resolution practice, where she represents clients in arbitrations and mediations. Deepshikha is involved in several pro bono projects in which the Firm participates. Deepshikha is also a licenced lawyer in India with the Bar Council of India.

Mohsen Seddigh

Mohsen’s devotion to his class action practice stems from a belief that class actions improve our society by promoting access to justice, corporate social responsibility, and the rule of law. Mohsen is an avid litigator who strategizes to obtain the best results for his clients, always through the most efficient means. Cheryl Meredith Woodin
