The case of Prophet River First Nation et al v. Minister of the Environment et al addressed the scope of ministerial decision-making in terms of the infringement of treaty rights and the determination of adequate consultation and accommodation in the environmental assessment context.  

This webinar will examine the implications of the case, including a discussion on the following topics:  

  • Federal government decision-making in the context of environmental assessment
  • Duty to consult, treaty rights and infringement
  • Proposed changes to federal legislation and policies
