Join our panel of regulators and experts for a high-level review of recent changes to insurance legislation and regulations across Canada, including regulatory changes arising out of COVID related emergency legislation. This webinar will provide an overview of the transitions from the regulators' perspective, offer practical insights into the changes, and address potential impacts to the legal and insurance community. 

Topics will include:

  • How regulators will approach innovation and disruption in the regulation of the insurance industry.
  • Québec: legislation permitting the sale of insurance on the internet and distribution of certain financial products and services by technological means.
  • Ontario: recent amendments to insurance regulation including permitted automobile insurance premium rebating, and transition from FSCO to FSRA.
  • Saskatchewan: the coming into force of the new Insurance Act and Regulations and changes to licensing and supervision requirements.
